Nothing says punk rock like middle-aged men and corporate sponsorship. That’s why it’s good to hear that the Sex Pistols have gotten back together to record their 1977 single “Anarchy in the U.K.” for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. [Source: Evil Avatar and their ugly logo]

Guitarist Steve Jones had this to say about Guitar Hero:

“I like it because my friends’ kids like it. And I like what kids like.”

It’s hard to know what Steve Jones means by that, because “kids” can mean a lot of things to someone in their 50s. Most anyone under the age of 35 is a kid as far as he’s concerned. Does that mean that he likes to complain about how social security won’t exist when he’s decrepit and old, which, for all intensive purposes, he nearly is? Probably not, because he’s from England. Who knows what kind of crazy system they have in place there? I could probably look it up on the Internet, but Steve Jones wouldn’t. He likes stuff that kids like, and one of those things does not include looking up England’s social security equivalent on the Internet. I bet he’d look up porn, though.

The Sex Pistols will briefly tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols.” The tour is called the “Steve Jones Likes Porn, because Kids Like It” tour, and their upcoming London show is sponsored by Guitar Hero III. The Sex Pistols are back on the streets, so fathers, hide your daughters. These old punks are on the prowl and they like what kids like, which I’m guessing includes your daughter. After knocking back a few cold ones, she probably looks OK.
